In role reversal : “BIG Blue” IBM excites , “Multi color” Google bores
On July 16 after hours , Armonk , NY based IBM & Mountain View , CA based Google , both tech giants on their own merits , reported their last quarter earnings numbers. “Big Blue” Consulting and services based IBM blew past estimates and raised guidance. Web 2.0 era open source savvy , “multi colored” Google on the other end bored investors with more or less in-line Sales numbers.
In after hours , IBM shares traded as high as 113.45 , up by almost $3 from their strong close , where as Google shares traded down by 15 points to $427.
Let us see how these role reversal play out on their stock prices on tomorrow’s option expiration.
