Why facebook bought friendfeed

Today, Facebook bought Friendfeed for $50 million.

The reason behind facebook buying friendfeed is, facebook wants to confound google, as google cannot index facebook pages properly. They want to make facebook the largest web space.

Frienfeed has 12 members in their team, in that 3 are ex googlers, facebook founer and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said -

“Since I first tried FriendFeed, I’ve admired their team for creating such a simple and elegant service for people to share information,”

Zuckerberg wants Facebook to be more than a place to talk to your friends: ultimately, he wants it to be an internet .
