Amazon will go at it alone, reducing marketing affiliates.

Leading online retailer Amazon and maker of Kindle reader today announced that it will be cancelling ties with Marketing affiliates in Hawai owing to latest “unconstitutional tax collection scheme” , recently it has cancelled ties up with North Carolina , Rhode Island. “Unconstitutional tax collection scheme” broadens the scope of items on which sales tax will be levied upon , “digital click-through”  is the item that affect Amazon on this regard.

Amazon has already sent out notices to its affiliates on each these states on this regard. Marketing Affiliates is a marketing means to drive traffic from one’s website to prospective “Merchant” website , merchant in turn share revenue with marketing affiliate.

Due to recent advancement & popularity of social networking sites , blogs and value added search engines , popularity of Marketing affiliate has come down a bit , nevertheless this is one of the effective advertisement/marketing practice.
